When one associates Greece with a color, blue immediately comes to mind. But Greece is also green, and a beautiful green, natural, deep and wild. It is this mountainous Greece at the foot of Mount Chelmos, that I propose to share with you in this article.

Wild and virgin valleys

By surveying the mountainous massifs surrounding the Mount Chelmos .You will quickly be immersed in this raw and rustic nature covered with softwood forests. The valleys that cross this massif are deep, crossed by tortuous roads. Less than 3 hours from Athens, the contrast is striking.

After passing the Corinthian canal and skirting the gulf, you dive into the mountains at Egira if you go to the village of Zarouchla or at Diakopto if you go to Kalavrita. From these two villages you can easily reach the summit of Mount Chelmos. Here, there are few trees, rather shrubs that punctuate a landscape where herds of goats graze. It is in this splendid site that the ski resort was established.
