What is the International Museum Day?
This event has been held since 1977 and is a unique moment for the international museum community. Not only do museums open their doors to the general public free of charge, but they also organize events to engage the visitor in a dialogue. This day was organized to show the fundamental role of museums in the life of the city as institutions at the service of society and its development. This day is a great success and brings together more museums every year.
Finally, the International Museum Day in Athens and in the whole of Greece is an important moment not to be missed. A unique opportunity to discover the splendors of ancient sites and wonderful museums!
