Rosy's little village : an island on Agistri

As its name suggests, Rosy’s little village is much more than just a hotel. It has all the characteristics of a village in miniature: pretty houses, a restaurant, a private beach, a community, which makes it a real place to live.

A great and beautiful story

Rosy’s little village was born from a love story. And that’s probably what makes this place so warm and welcoming. Rosy and Nodan, of German origin, settled on the island of Agistri in the 1970s to build this little paradise, at the time without electricity or cars. Since then, modern comforts have arrived, but the place has kept its simplicity and authenticity. It is always a family and friendly business.

Beautiful white houses for family rooms

When you enter through the porch, you discover a narrow street with stairs, lined with small houses painted with lime and colored by a pretty vegetation of oleanders, hibiscus and geraniums.

The rooms, seventeen in number, are simple, without superfluous comfort but always with a view of the sea. Most of them are arranged as family suites, with a mezzanine.

Tip: If you choose the rooms closest to the restaurant, you can even let your children sleep while you have a nightcap on the terrace.

Rosy’s little village : a miniature village to discover

The staircase then leads to the “square” of Rosy’s little village. We particularly like this place where we meet to discuss and have a drink: a restaurant and a terrace overlooking the sea. Here you can have breakfast, an aperitif, a simple salad or dinner. The traditional Greek cuisine here is made mostly with fresh organic products. The menu is appetizing and the place is magical! This probably justifies the slightly higher prices than in the small taverns of the port. Once a week, the place comes alive with traditional songs and music, which brings a good atmosphere.

Go down a few more steps and the sea will be at your feet: a beautiful little cove tastefully furnished and a direct access to the sea. There, you can swim, sunbathe on the deckchairs or enjoy the canoes provided free of charge by Rosy. Rosy’s Little Village also offers excursions by boat from 10€ per person.

Located above the port of Skala, the hotel is also the starting point for hiking trails in the forests of Chaldikadia and access to the beautiful beaches of the north. On foot, you can go to the port where there are many shops.
