The ski resort of Vigla Pisoderi is a family-friendly ski resort, quite large for Greece. It is located in the Florina region, close to the Greek-Macedonian border. This resort is set in a landscape of astonishing natural beauty. From the top of the ski slope, the view towards the Prespes lakes is incredible, while the skiers’ paths through the beech trees add a bewitching dimension to the descent of the slopes!
What does the station look like?
One of the oldest ski resorts in Greece. In fact, its first ski lift was installed in 1967. Today, Vigla boasts numerous lifts and slopes, as well as one of the most beautiful chalets in the Greek mountains.
Location:
The station is located on Mount Verno, near the village of Pisoderi, about 30 kilometers north of the town of Florina.
Altitude :
The ski resort lies at an altitude of between 1,480 and 2,000 meters, offering favorable conditions for skiing.
Ski season :
The ski season in Vigla-Pisoderi can vary according to weather conditions, but generally runs from December to March.
What’s the ski area like?
The ski center has a total of 12 trails, including 9 downhill trails, 2 cross-country trails and 1 snowmobile trail. There are also rental facilities and ski schools for beginners.
Chalet Tottis is located directly opposite the Ski Center, with views of the mountain and ski slopes. On the first floor there’s a bar that connects with the ski rental area (skis, boots, snowboards, snowmobiles, etc.). On the 1st floor is the large restaurant area, with fireplace and view of the slopes.

Opening hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Note: opening times are provided by the Vigla Pisoderi/Verno ski center. In fact, they can vary depending on outdoor conditions, the day of the week, school vacations and public holidays.
How do I get there?
The distance between the Vigla – Pisoderio ski resort and the town of Florina is just 19 km, which is one of the main reasons to visit. Access is generally easy. Here on Google Maps.
Florina is easily reached by freeway:
- from Athens, it takes 6h30 for 620 kms
- from Thessaloniki: 2 hrs 10 min (192.5 km) via Egnatia Odos/A2/E90, a very easy route.
