The owners, Christian, a Frenchman, and his wife Stella are true enthusiasts. We could even say lovers, lovers of the island of Aegina and of Greek cuisine. You’ll feel it from the welcome to the plates!
What’s more, the setting is superb. In fact, the restaurant is located right on the beach, so you can eat with your feet in the sand and even sit back on one of the deckchairs to sip a house cocktail. Happiness!

At the Ammos restaurant, you’ll be greeted by the friendly Christian. And in this role Christian triumphs! Indeed, the welcome is warm, friendly, efficient and very attentive. It’s like being welcomed by friends.
As for Stella in the kitchen, she’ll delight you! Stella prepares authentic, generous dishes to perfection. It’s hard to recommend a particular dish, because everything is so good!
Fresh, local produce
The figures speak for themselves… According to Tripadvisor, Ammos is No. 1 out of 49 restaurants on the island of Aegina!
The products are local and fresh: fresh fish, quality meats, vegetables from local farms, seasonal fruit… All extremely well cooked.
We recommend starting with a cocktail (always just the right amount!) and continuing with mezzes (special mention for the homemade grape leaves and Saganaki shrimps) and a salad (the Fistiki salad is excellent).
For the rest, it’s hard to choose between fresh fish, grilled meat or delicious daily specials. Either way, you’re in for a treat!
