We recommend you go to Apollonia, the capital of Sifnos. It’s a pretty village in the center of the island. A pleasant place to stroll at the end of the day or dine in the evening. And this is also where you’ll find some of the nicest stores on Sifnos.
Stores are concentrated along the narrow Stilianou Prokou pedestrian street, which starts behind the museum and leads to Agios Spiridon Cathedral.

Women’s clothing and accessories: COLORES
Colores is our favorite on Sifnos. Indeed, it’s out of the question to go to Apollonia without a visit to this boutique. Wanda, the designer, is French and inspired by the spirit of the Cyclades, with a touch of ethnicity. Beautiful fabrics, quality materials, simple, elegant cuts and affordable prices. Here you’ll find lightweight dresses, jumpsuits, scarves, tops, hats from Ecuador, accessories… In short, we’re hooked!

Sweets: GERONTOPOULOS
At the start of the pedestrian street, you’ll find this mouth-watering little store, which has been in existence since 1950. It’s all terribly appealing. The products are high quality and beautifully presented. It’s hard not to succumb to the “sin” of gluttony.
Here you’ll find a wide range of sweet treats for immediate consumption (ice creams and pastries) or to take away: Sifnos marzipan, traditional cookies, aniseed cakes, honey tarts, vanilla spreads, honeys, candied fruits, homemade liqueurs, etc. Lovely gourmet souvenirs, always much appreciated.

A store where you can find 100% Sifniote items, made by local designers: jewelry, clothing, eyewear, photography, decorative accessories and more. Everything is beautifully displayed in a sleek, designer setting. The only downside is that prices are rather high.
