A day at the Niridies Hotel
We do not see the days pass in this small luxury hotel:
- Breakfast. Magnificent view of the harbor rocked by a light breeze. Delicious pastries, pastries and bread made by Anthy’s baker father, but also eggs, yoghurts, fresh cheeses, olives, fresh fruits… nothing is missing. And always, the impeccable service of Thanos and Anthy.
- Small bath in the pool. The pool is small but cool enough to keep the kids entertained and sheltered from the wind.
- A visit to the reception. There are magazines from all over the world, including some old issues of Elle and Paris Match … we love it.
- A short lunch break. A light salad or an omelette is a good choice. Nothing very complicated but it’s always good, fresh, fast and not overpriced (you have to count around 7 euros for the salads, 3 euros for a toast).
- The beach. Go down a few steps and you are on the sandy beach of Platis Gialos with clear waters.
- Small nap. In the cool air-conditioned rooms of the hotel or on the deckchairs of the pool.
- Outing for dinner on the beach, under the starry sky. The children make a last sand castle and make friends with the passing tourists. You can enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants in the bay. There is something for everyone: fresh fish and trendy cuisine, Italian or traditional taverns.
An ideal hotel for families
This hotel is clearly family-oriented, as evidenced primarily by its rooms. Nine out of ten of these rooms are designed for families, consisting of a separate space for parents and a system of benches for children, allowing the area to easily transform into a living room or dormitory. Additionally, all rooms are equipped with a kitchenette, enabling guests to prepare simple meals or enjoy some mezzes purchased in the village below.è-a
But the great advantage of this hotel is without a doubt the facilities it offers for families with children under 12. The pool, first of all, is easily accessible from the room terraces. But especially the“playroom“, a real Ali Baba cave. This playroom is full of all kinds of toys and is a delight for our little ones. Strategically located between the terrace and the pool, it allows children to escape for long hours and parents to enjoy great moments of freedom.
