If you’re looking for hotels near Athens airport, you can’t get much closer than the Sofitel. It’s located within the airport itself, less than 5 minutes’ walk from the terminals. Super convenient… but unfortunately proximity comes at a price. Rooms are rather expensive. On the plus side, the hotel is comfortable: with good bedding, well soundproofed (you can’t hear the planes). It offers good service. The restaurant is open 24 hours a day. Buffet breakfast.

Among the hotels near Athens airport, we always recommend the Galotel Agnoudas to our friends and family. Why is Live-Athens a favorite? It’s a simple but comfortable guesthouse run by a Frenchwoman: Gaëlle. She is married to a Greek and has lived in Greece for a long time. She’s very friendly and always happy to welcome tourists. A shuttle service to and from the airport is available at extra charge.
